Your tempo and tap history

Tempo calculations and Tap Tempo run on your device. Tap history stays in memory. When you choose “Use this BPM,” the measured tempo is included in the calculator URL so it can fill the input on the next page. That URL may remain in your browser history and appear in hosting request logs. We do not save calculator sessions in local storage or an application database.

Theme preferences and analytics

The site saves your light or dark theme preference in your browser's local storage under bpmtoms:theme. You can remove it by clearing this site's browser data. The calculator works if local storage is blocked.

We use Google Analytics to understand page usage and improve the site. Google may process information such as visited pages, interactions, browser and device details, and IP-derived location data. Depending on your browser, region, and Google's configuration, analytics may use cookies or similar technologies. You can learn more in Google's privacy policy and limit analytics through your browser settings or blocking tools.

Fonts and interface assets are served with the site.

Copying timing values

When you select a timing value, the site asks your browser to write that value to your clipboard. It does not read your clipboard. Your browser may require permission, and a message appears if copying is unavailable.

Hosting and routine request data

The production site is intended to be hosted on Cloudflare. Serving and protecting a website can involve processing IP addresses, request times, requested URLs, and browser information. Cloudflare describes its practices in its privacy policy.

Contact messages

If you email hello@bpmtoms.net, your email provider and ours process the message. We use the information you send to respond to your request. Please avoid sending passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information.
