Using the calculator

BPM to MS is a free timing reference for musicians, producers, and sound designers. You can use its calculated values in personal and commercial music projects. No account is required.

Results and rounding

Results assume that BPM measures quarter-note beats and use a constant tempo. The display rounds to whole milliseconds or three decimal places. Plugins may use different units, limits, or definitions, so check the parameter you are setting and listen to the result.

The guides offer practical starting points. They do not guarantee a particular sound, mix quality, or compatibility with every audio tool.
